Initially, many would question whether this is the result of poor cleaning work by the duct cleaning company. However, we say no it isn't.
It is all too easy to put a camera into a duct and take pictures like these.
This duct work is 150mm x 1000mm. This makes it so impossible to reach from a tiny inspection hatch on the side. Could they cut a hatch on the bottom? If they did do they would be able to reach the un-cleaned areas, but they would make a major problem with grease leaking from the hatches that they would have to fit.
So, what can HEY do to help?
We worked with the client and the cleaning company to make the site compliant, making future cleaning possible and easier. Hatches were fitted in the bottom of the ductwork to allow full access to clean. We then used RZ-Ecoseal to completely seal the duct and seal up the hatches on the bottom of the duct internally. Even from the hatch on the 150mm side of the duct this was possible.
The site is a high street chain in the very centre of London, requiring regular cleaning due to the volume of grease in the system. After RZ-Ecoseal was applied to the duct work, the problem area now has no grease in the system what so ever - and this is after three months from the work being carried out.
The client now has a compliant system and the cleaning company has a safe and simple way of cleaning the duct work now the RZ-Ecoseal has been applied.
